Now working with messages in Microsoft Teams get your work easier and quick. Another key thing to know about Microsoft Teams messages features is that a channel that replies to a channel message stay attached to the previous or original message. This way, the users can follow and read the whole thread of the conversation. This is can be a good treat for the MS Teams users and it is great about threaded conversations.

Below are the options you can explore when working with posts and messages:

  1. Create and format a post

Create and format the posts or make announcement to start a conversation in the channel.

Create and format a post

  • First, select the “New conversation”
  • Now, type a message.
  • Here, you can select the Format using the Expand
  • To create the announcement, you should select a post type>Announcement Teams announcement icon.
  • You can type the headline here and an optional subheading as well. Then you can add a color scheme you can choose your own background image as well.
  • Now, format your post by following the below-mentioned options:
    • Font size format
    • Bold Fonts
    • Numbered list and Bulleted list
    • Insert a hyperlink/link
  • Now, select Send when you finish with the content formatting.

Note: In order to make changes to your post or announcement, you can also select More options. Go to Microsoft Teams more options icon >Edit Teams edit icon black.

  1. Post messages to multiple channels of Teams

Now the cross-post an announcement or information can be shared across multiple channels at once. Here is how you can do this:

  • In a channels, choose New conversation>Format.
  • Now, select the message type you prefer: It can be “New conversation or Announcement.”
  • Now, select Post if you want to share it in multiple channels>Select channels.
  • Select in which channels you want to post your message.
  • You can share your posts wherever you have been added as a member.
  • Select Update, and the channels which you have selected will appear in the post.
  • Now, select Everyone can reply to if you want to let anyone respond to your post. Alternatively, you can select You and moderators who can reply to restrict the responses to just you and the selected moderators.
  • Now, type message and select Send.
  • Your post will appear in the selected channels.

Save a post or a message

  • To save any message or a post, select Save message button, which is available just to the right of your text.
  • If you want to view a complete list of your saved messages, you can do it by selecting your profile picture at the top of the application, then select Saved.
  • Alternatively, you can type “/saved” in the command box at the top of your screen.
